Elderly Rehabilitation in Southwell
Physiotherapy at Home
Maintaining strength, mobility and independence in later life with personalised rehabilitation delivered in the comfort of your own home.
Getting older does not mean you have to accept declining mobility, increasing stiffness or losing your independence. However, changes in muscle strength, joint mobility, balance and physical activity can gradually make everyday tasks more difficult.
At Home 1st Physiotherapy, we provide elderly rehabilitation in Southwell and the surrounding areas, helping older adults maintain their strength, mobility and independence while continuing to live safely in their own homes.
Our approach is positive and proactive. Rather than simply accepting that slowing down is an inevitable part of ageing, we work with you to identify what is affecting your mobility and develop a realistic programme to help you stay active and independent for as long as possible.
Rehabilitation for Everyday Life
Elderly rehabilitation is about much more than completing a set of exercises. The ultimate goal is to help you remain confident and capable in your everyday life.
Because treatment takes place in your own home, we can work on the specific activities that you find challenging. This might mean practising getting up from your favourite chair, walking safely around the house, managing the stairs, preparing a meal in the kitchen or getting outside into the garden.
As your strength and confidence improve, your rehabilitation can progress to support activities further afield, such as walking to the shops, meeting friends or returning to hobbies and outings that you enjoy.
